About Haunted Heritage Hikes

Haunted Heritage Hikes was created by Stephanie Moffett  in conjunction with Pinellas Pioneer Settlement. Stephanie wanted to bring the history of Pinellas County to light in a new and family friendly way! 

One day Stephanie was at work and was thinking about doing ghost tours. She reached out to a longtime friend and they came up with the name “Haunted Heritage Hikes”. To bring her vision to life, her and Tim Birney sat for hours putting together the plan and concept to bring you this wonderful hike. 

The land that Pinellas Pioneer Settlement sits on is a historic location in South St. Petersburg, Florida that has been preserved through time thanks to this great non-profit working with the city.

There is so much rich history throughout Pinellas county that we want to share some of that with you. Some of the history that we are talking about is romantic, and some is tragic.

This is a “haunted hike” not because we are showing you the hauntings of this site (we’ll let you come to that conclusion after the tour) but because there have been repeated sightings and accounts of hauntings from the various stories we will be sharing with you.
